It’s hard to believe that Pixie Payroll is celebrating its 10th birthday.
What started as a small payroll business has grown into something that feels much bigger than just a business to us. Over the past decade, Pixie Payroll has become a two-generation family business, and we’re incredibly proud of that.
From one payroll desk to a family team
When Pixie Payroll began, it was very much a small, personal operation. Ten years later, the business is still proudly family run, but the team has grown.
There’s me, Kellie, looking after the payroll side of things, my husband Phil, who is co-director, and now our son Sam, who is learning the ropes and being trained by me.
Having two generations involved in the business makes Pixie Payroll particularly special to us. It’s not just about working together; it’s about passing on knowledge, experience and the values that have been important to us from the beginning.
10 years of payroll changes
A lot has changed in the world of payroll over the last 10 years.
There have been countless changes to legislation, new processes, changing technology, new reporting requirements and plenty of deadlines to keep on top of.
But while payroll itself continues to evolve, our approach has remained the same: provide a reliable, professional and personal service to our clients.
After 10 years, we’ve dealt with more payslips, payroll queries, calculations and deadlines than we could possibly count and we’ve learned something from every one of them.
Our clients are a big part of the journey
One of the best things about running a small, independent payroll business is getting to know the people and businesses behind the payroll.
Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of working with businesses of all shapes and sizes, and we’re incredibly grateful to every client who has trusted Pixie Payroll with such an important part of their business.
Payroll might be something that happens quietly in the background, but we know how important it is to both employers and employees. Getting it right, meeting deadlines and being there when questions arise is something we take seriously.
Ten years is a significant milestone and it’s given us a chance to stop and appreciate just how far Pixie Payroll has come.
From a small family business to a three-generation team, we couldn’t have reached this point without the support of our clients, family, friends and everyone who has recommended Pixie Payroll over the years.
